The Public Health Agency of Canada trained Peruvian doctors on COVID-19

The Public Health Agency of Canada developed virtual training for professionals from the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Health, the National School of Public Health, hospitals in Lima and Arequipa, the Regional Directorate of Health in Piura, and the headquarters of EsSalud in said region.

Throughout the meeting, Canadian doctors, from the aforementioned agency, BC Children’s Hospital and the Sunnybrook Research Institute, provided information on the care of patients in the early stages of the new coronavirus, the medications and diagnostic tests used in Canada, the health measures implemented for children, the care of pregnant women with COVID-19 and newborns, among other specific issues.

It should be noted that such technical assistance was developed thanks to the coordination carried out by the Embassy of Peru in Canada and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
