In 2022, despite the pandemic, Peru managed to start a new mine and will soon complete the construction of another. In addition, they have expanded several mines and received approval to start new mining projects. But recent social unrest is now jeopardizing contract compliance and stalled purchase orders creating notable challenges for Canadian mining suppliers in Peru.
On Monday, March 6th, at the 2023 Peru day at PDAC, we seek to identify lessons learned from these circumstances and identify opportunities in the context of enhancing the virtues of the Peruvian mining industry and overcoming the flaws that have slowed down its dynamism in recent years, by contrasting the views and proposals of mining leaders and senior government officers.
