Originally from Lima, Peru, Carlos has been involved in I.T. since the mid '70s, and has worked for and with companies large and small, in South America, Africa and North America.
In 1984, Carlos established Tenet Computer Group Inc. a Toronto-based I.T. Value-Added Reseller and Solution Provider, and in March 2016 he created Techmien Corp as the spin-off of the Software Business Unit of Tenet Computer Group Inc. Winner of "North America New Business Innovation Award" (2004), "Gold Winner, Best Mobile Solution, CDN Channel Elite Awards" 2011), and "SMB Vision Award 2012 - Toronto Hispanic Chamber of Commerce" (2012).

The pandemic due to the new coronavirus generated the acceleration of changes in consumption habits, the global population demands more and more healthy products, and Expoalimentaria Virtual 2020 will be a great opportunity for national and foreign producers and entrepreneurs to show the world their food offer.
The event, organized by the Association of Exporters (ADEX), would have around 400 buyers from the five continents who will have contact with the exhibiting companies between September 30 and November 15, through the B2Peru platform.

On September 21, the National Council of Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC) inaugurated the National Innovation Week, which in this edition is adapted to the new coexistence generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The presentations were held until Sep 25th.
The CONCYTEC event -which was broadcasted on Facebook- brought together national and international speakers with the aim of highlighting the actions of the public and private sectors aimed at innovation in technologies and mechanisms that may be useful to face the current health situation.

11 young researchers from Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) and San Marcos (UNMSM) Universities, are the creators of CrioProt -an antifreeze protein capable of combating frosts affecting agricultural crops- and have won the MolecularCloud/GenScript sponsorship competition.
Thanks to this achievement, they will participate at the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM), the world's largest genetic engineering competition.
The Peruvian team has prevailed over 67 teams from countries like the United States, Canada, India, Turkey, Israel, Greece and France.
