This year, the MUKI Team, a new generation of Peruvian explorers, from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria (UNI)" and the University of Tasmania, had represented Peru and Latin America competing as one of six finalists for the 2022 Next Generation Explorers Award (NGEA) at the PDAC convention.

A special mention to the NAZCA EXPLORERS team, from the Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM), who was part of the 2022 contending teams. Last year, the INCA Team also engineering students from the UNMSM, obtained the 1st place in the 2021 NGEA.

This year, from June 10 to 19, Pisco lovers had an unmissable appointment during PISCO WEEK FRANCE, organized by the commercial office of PROMPERU FRANCE, based in Paris. For 10 days, the unique Peruvian grape brandy was the drink of honor on Parisian nights and throughout France with more than fifteen associated bars and hotels.

The week ended with the PISCO CHAMPIONSHIP France, where the best bartenders in France put their heart and talent into preparing unique drinks according to their tastes, mood and of their desires.

On June 21st, at the "II International Competition of Chocolates of Origin" organized by AVPA, the Agricultural Products Valorization Agency in Paris, 16 Peruvian chocolates were awarded: one gold, two silver and two bronze, as well as 11 Gourmet Certificates.

The national delegation, with the support of PROMPERU France, brought chocolate with varieties of fine cocoa, chuncho, criollo, VRAE 99, and even copoazú. The history of Peruvian cocoa is very close to the Peruvian Amazon culture; therefore, it is a logical consequence that the regions of San Martin, Cusco, Madre de Dios, VRAE, and Amazonas were recognized by the jury of the contest.
