Happy Canada Day
CANADA land of opportunity and diversity

Canada Day is a day when Canadians celebrate and give thanks for living in a country with many blessings and opportunities. For many Canadians, this year will also include a time of reflection to acknowledge the past, consider what it means to be Canadian, what makes us proud, and how we move forward together.

At the Peruvian Canadian Chamber of Commerce, we wish all a safe and healthy Canada Day!

Senadora Rosa Galvez
Greetings from Honourable Canadian Senator Rosa Galvez

"Let's take this year as an opportunity to support indigenous, Metis, and Inuit peoples in Canada to recognize that we have to make progress with reconciliation and that we have to address the problems that are left with us due to colonialism."

"I would also like to congratulate my fellow Peruvians in Canada on the 200th Anniversary of the Independence of Peru. It is a great time to celebrate the richest of our culture, diversity, and our resilience."

"At the end of the tunnel with Covid-19, the light is there. Enjoy the summer, stay healthy and safe!"

Greetings from Mr. Italo Acha, Consul General of Peru in Toronto

This July 28th, all Peruvians will be celebrating with great pride two hundred years of our National Independence. Peru, a peace loving-nation located in the central part of South America is a country rich in natural resources, with one of the greatest mega biodiversities in the world.

Today, Peruvians are very proud of this generous legacy we have inherited with great responsibility, and we are strongly committed to work together, living in democracy, pursuing a better and sustainable development for future generations to come.

The Consulate of Peru in Toronto, with the respective Canadian authorities, have organized in our National Day, the illumination of the Niagara Falls and the CN Tower in Toronto, with the colours of our national flag. We hope you will join us in this historical moment. Felices Fiestas Patrias!
