We proudly announce the membership of the Peruvian Canadian Institute and heartily welcome its founding president, Dr. Kevin McCormick, to the PCCC family.
The Peruvian Canadian Institute, which is housed at Huntington University in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, aims to support and foster enhanced relationships between both nations through activities focused on celebrating and highlighting outstanding contributions in culture, education, diplomatic relations, business, mining, and more.
Some of their initiatives are the establishment of commemorative academic awards for students in both countries, agreements with post-secondary partners in Peru, presentations of Distinguished Fellowships to citizens and/or groups in Canada and Peru, and a virtual Summit to be held in the coming months.

For four days, 25 intensive care physicians from all over the country participated in the course for professionals in emergency services and intensive care, dictated by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada - International in coordination with the National School of Public Health (ENSAP), reported the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
It is the F-ACES (Facilitation - Acute Critical Events Simulation), which will help improve and optimize the knowledge and clinical reasoning skills necessary to quickly recognize and manage medical emergencies, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

His areas of expertise include economic analysis and valuations, financial modeling, corporate development, mergers and acquisition (M&A), due diligence, project studies, and project management.
Mr. Cortes is Principal, Economic Analysis and Valuations at SLR Consulting, Mining Advisory group. He is also the co-founder and chair of Hispanics in Mining, a networking group of Spanish speaking professionals involved in the mining industry in Toronto.

ARBIO Peru, a Peruvian non-profit organization founded in Madre de Dios to protect the Amazon rainforest has been carrying this task through for over 10 years now.
This date of celebration for the Earth looks to find a just equilibrium between the social, economic, and environmental necessities of both the current and future generations. According to the ONU, the alteration of the climate, the loss of biodiversity, and the contamination are a threat to our viability as a species.

With only a few months to the celebration of 200 years of Independence and republican life in Peru, the call for the Bicentennial Innovators Award in Fisheries and Aquaculture was presented; an event organized by the National Program for Innovation in Fisheries and Aquaculture, (PNIPA), attached to the Ministry of Production (#PRODUCE).
The award seeks to value initiatives that are contributing to promote innovation, inclusion and competitiveness in the ecosystem, recognizing that the productive apparatus is competitive in both fishing and sustainable aquaculture. The reception of proposals began on April 20 and ends on May 23. Five categories will be recognized: environmental, social and inclusive, technological, commercial and health innovation.

The Inca Team, made up of Geological, Mining, Metallurgical and Geographical Engineering students from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, obtained the first place in the geoscience competition: the Frank Arnott Award - Next Generation Explorers Award (NGEA)
They carried out its research and presentation work on the Yukon Plateau (Canada) dataset on a basis of commitment and sustainability with the community and the environment. Inspired by the cultural traditions of the Incas, the team applied the Ayllu and Ayni concepts (reciprocity among people of the Andean mountain communities) throughout the process.
The ceremony, with hundreds of attenedees, was held at the virtual PDAC 2021 annual convention. Congratulations Inca Team!

On May 25th, industry experts will discuss how Financial Institutions are experiencing the shift from branch-based to digital account opening and the impact of current identity verification methods on abandonment and funding rates.
