Peruvian superfoods are required by international buyers

 

The pandemic due to the new coronavirus generated the acceleration of changes in consumption habits, the global population demands more and more healthy products, and Expoalimentaria Virtual 2020 will be a great opportunity for national and foreign producers and entrepreneurs to show the world their food offer.

The event, organized by the Association of Exporters (ADEX), would have around 400 buyers from the five continents who will have contact with the exhibiting companies between September 30 and November 15, through the B2Perú platform.

They are interested in Peruvian superfoods, as well as fresh and certified organic foods. Among the products with the greatest interest, we can mention avocados, grapes, blueberries, aguaymanto, mangoes, Andean grains, cocoa nibs, prawns, among others.

TRADIN Organic, from the Netherlands – an importer specialized in organic products – expressed interest in ingredients for the food industry with organic certification, pulps and concentrates, fresh and dehydrated fruits, coffee and cocoa, dry beans, flours, oils, among others.

Likewise, from the USA, the company KH International with headquarters in Atlanta and offices in Oregon and Chile seeks fruits and vegetables with an IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) freezing process, juices, purees and pulps, and Andean grains. For its part, the HEB supermarket chain (also in the US) requires baking mixes, pie crust, and filling, spices, flour, sugar, oil, canned tuna, canned meat, soups, and sauces for cooking.

Other foreign buyers that will participate in “Expoalimentaria Virtual 2020” are NH Superfoods (Netherlands), Ardo and Dujardin Foods (Canada), Jumbo (Netherlands), Aswaaq (United Arab Emirates), Four Seasons Fruit Supply (Netherlands), Favorite Corporation ( Ecuador) and El Machetazo (Panama), complete the top ten.

Offer

The virtual presence of 500 exhibiting companies in the food, containers and packaging, machinery, and services sectors is expected. In addition, the regions of Cusco and Ucayali will be present.

Likewise, there will be the international pavilions of Argentina, Bolivia (Bolivian Chamber of Exporters of Quinoa and Organic Products-Cabolqui), Brazil (Regional Government of Acre), Colombia, Italy (Italian Agency for Foreign Trade), and Indonesia.
