The Cocoa and Chocolate Show this 2020 in its virtual version
Peruvian cocoa and chocolate are valued worldwide and their growth prospects do not stop despite Covid-19, for this reason, the Peruvian Association of Cocoa Producers (Appcacao), will organize this 2020 “Cocoa and Chocolate Show”, in its virtual version.
Since 2010, the organizations of producers, manufacturers, entrepreneurs, and exporters of cocoa have come together to offer and position their products in national and international markets, with the support of the public, private, and international cooperation sectors.
The diplomatic and consular missions of Peru installed throughout the world are spreading the Hall of Cacao and Chocolate, which this year, as a consequence of COVID-19, will be developed through a virtual platform and, as is traditional, in July, indicated the Director-General of Economic Promotion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador José Eduardo Chávarri García, by letter addressed to Appcacao.
“One of the first actions that the Foreign Ministry has carried out has been to disseminate the event through our network of 140 diplomatic and consular missions abroad”, said the ambassador.

In the aforementioned document, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is at the disposal of the Organizing Committee of the Virtual Hall of Cocoa and Chocolate 2020 and will participate in the preparatory meetings and coordination to achieve the greatest possible participation of people, companies, and unions linked to the chocolate and cocoa sector in the world.
This new Virtual Cocoa and Chocolate Show, designed to face the crisis generated by Covid-19, will allow greater visibility and commercial contacts worldwide for its nearly 200 exhibiting brands.
These will have their respective virtual stands with digital catalogs containing commercial information as well as payments online.
