Peruvians residing abroad to use the PERU brand
Products and services that Peruvian entrepreneurs offer in their place of residence, will spread the image and reality of Peru.
The Congress of the Republic formalized Law No. 31641, which incorporates Peruvian citizens residing abroad, within the scope of the actions and policies formulated by PromPeru and authorizes them to use the “Peru Country Brand”.
In this sense, the norm includes them as actors, in the design, coordination, agreement, and execution of policies and actions aimed at disseminating the image of Peru abroad, who may also use the official brand of the Peruvian State as long as they comply with the requirements provided by the competent authority according to law.
The legal provision instructs the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism to adopt the pertinent actions to adapt the licensing procedure.
Likewise, it indicates that the provisions of this law are financed with the own resources of the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (PromPeru), without demanding additional resources from the public treasury.
