Non-traditional products – Exports increase 19.9%
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics of Peru INEI, non-traditional exports increased by 19.9% in the month of February 2018 compared to the same month of the previous year.
This information allows to present a stability and a continuous accumulated growth for the last 19 months.
It should be noted, as reported by the INEI, that the non-traditional products with the highest growth are: agricultural products with 26.6%, textiles with 10.8% and chemicals with 31.8%.
Although there are other non-traditional products that have experienced a decline, this does not generate a negative impact on the sector overall.
These results favor Peru’s trade negotiations with the countries with which they have free trade agreements, such as Canada.
