The Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Roberto Sánchez, announced the implementation of a website whose objective will be to provide information of interest (problems related to shipments, transportation or purchases) for Peruvian importing and exporting companies whose performance has been affected by the economic impact generated by the Russian-Ukrainian conflict still in force.

This page will be accessible to any company and/or person, who may fill out a query form on the international economic situation at the link https://exportemos.pe/rusia-ucrania.

On the page, you can also find announcements of maritime and air agencies regarding export and import transport, as well as updated reports on the economic activity of international trade prepared by the network of Commercial Offices Abroad (OCEX) of PROMPERU.

The head of the portfolio highlighted the cooperation that is being carried out with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a recently created Public-Private Working Group with other business associations to ensure that the impact of the current international situation on the Peruvian economy is minimally possible. Sánchez assured that companies that make significant shipments to both Russia and Ukraine have been identified, to which it will be proposed to work commercially with alternative markets that allow the continuity of their operations.

Likewise, advice will be provided for importers of products that require contact with suppliers and access to alternative markets of origin. Faced with the closure of air spaces in the conflict zone, these consultancies will also be available to inform about alternative logistics routes whose cost does not have a greater significant impact on the fixed budget of the companies.

For its part, PROMPERU will sponsor informative regional events and webinars for the affected companies, as well as specialized training seminars for the search for alternative markets, logistics guidance tools, means of payment, among others.
