PCCC Arturo RuizLast few months have been far from business as usual for all of us. The pandemic completely changed the face of the much-awaited 2020, a year that was being seen as the reference point for business planning across industries, worldwide. And, as we all are working determinedly towards getting used to the new normal, I wanted to make all efforts to connect with our members to exhibit our solidarity and assure you that we all are in this together.

As a first step towards this, I am extremely thrilled to reinvigorate our newsletter and present to you the PCCC Pulse – a monthly round-up of updates that matter to us as an integral part of the PCCC Community.

Whilst we all are struggling, in our own ways, to cope with what COVID-19 has brought along, I do hope that with the economy now on the path of reopening and with the weather playing by our side, you all are starting to enjoy the Canadian summer and getting ready for the Canada Day celebrations. Although this year we will be celebrating it a bit differently, I really do wish you all have a great time!

The coming month, we also celebrate the Peruvian Independence day on July 28th. This year, we would be celebrating 199 years of Independence and we are very proud to represent Peru, its people, and its culture. We are honored to share many things with Canada, be it the color of our flags or our similar focus on mining and even the size of our population. With the amazing synergies that we enjoy, I am confident that a great business relationship between the two nations will continue to transcend with time.

This year, at the Chamber, we are focusing on activities that enable our members to network and create meaningful connections to impact their respective businesses. And, thus, networking events, webinars on areas crucial to your business, and fireside chats with subject matter experts would be a key focus.

As always, we will do our best to create a space that allows you to pursue business in the Canadian and Peruvian markets and provide guidance to obtain government support for all our members.

May you enjoy this season and have an excellent summer, while also staying safe!

Arturo Ruiz
